In the article the author examines step by step the procedure for bringing judges of the Russian Federation to liability, considers criticism of this procedure, including challenging it in the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation. The author comes to the conclusion that the existing system of bringing judges to administrative liability should be revised. If an administrative offense committed by a judge is in no way related to his professional activities and the punishment for it is not associated with depriving the judge of immunity (for example an administrative fine), then it is necessary to provide for the possibility of bringing the judge to administrative liability on a general basis.
