The author analyzes the processes of dynamic development of criminal law norms in the war period 1941-1945. The purpose of the conducted research was the need for further expansion of scientifically based knowledge, revealing the causal complex, features and results of the main processes of formation of criminal law legislative bases during the war years. For this purpose, the author analyzed the evolution of the norms of domestic criminal legislation in the historical period under consideration, studied its features, characteristics and distinctive features. In the process of this legislative work, not only the improvement of the norms of the analyzed branch of law established in the pre-war period took place, but also the adoption of new legislative norms that were extremely necessary for the country and met the requirements of the 1941-1945 war period.
