The article examines a new version of the norm providing for criminal liability for coercion to testify. The authors, taking into account the complex positive regulation of protected relations in the field of criminal court proceedings, show the systemic nature of the changes made: the inclusion of "convicted" and "acquitted" in the circle of victims, as well as the addition of a list of special subjects by "another law enforcement officer". The article presents the mechanism proposed by the legislator to expand the scope of criminal law protection of public relations developing in connection with evidence. The author's idea of such a new subject of a crime under Article 302 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation as "an other law enforcement officer" is formulated, and its direct or indirect connection with crime investigation activities is shown.
