Abstract:
As a result of reviewing the dissertation of N.S. Rasulova on the topic "Expert opinion as a means of proof in criminal proceedings", submitted for the degree of Candidate of Legal Sciences in the specialty 12.00.09. The criminal process, the official opponent stated its relevance, theoretical and practical significance, scientific novelty and validity of the formulated provisions, conclusions and recommendations. The applicant studied the theoretical and legal foundations concerning the results of the specialist's activities in criminal proceedings, analyzed the scientific provisions on the conclusion of a specialist, which determine the possibility of further development of criminal procedure legislation and optimization of law enforcement practice. Along with the high assessment, some shortcomings of the dissertation and controversial points were noted.
